Sustainable renewal at Par3 Pitch&Putt Gualta

Investing in agricultural machinery for more efficient and environmentally responsible course maintenance

At Par3 Pitch&Putt Gualta, we have taken another step forward in our commitment to sustainability and efficient course management. Over recent months, we have renewed part of our maintenance equipment, introducing modern agricultural technology designed to work more efficiently and with greater respect for the environment.

This investment allows us to improve playing conditions, care for the turf in a more natural way and reduce the environmental footprint of our maintenance operations.

The new machinery has been selected to optimise every intervention on the course, make better use of available resources and ensure that our facilities continue to be a benchmark for quality and sustainability in the Baix Empordà.

Agricultural machinery adapted to Pitch & Putt

New Holland Boomer 25C multifunction tractor

The New Holland Boomer 25C is at the heart of our new fleet. This compact 25 hp tractor is agile and fuel-efficient, making it ideal for working around the course while minimising soil compaction and avoiding damage to the turf.

We use it with different attachments depending on the maintenance task:

  • Dimago Ripper Mini, for deep aeration and soil decompaction.

  • Dimago triangle hitch, allowing attachments to be changed more quickly and reducing manoeuvring time.

  • Rotavator Mini 125, for preparing the soil evenly before seeding or replanting.

  • Zeppelin 200 L – 4 metre sprayer, enabling precise and efficient targeted treatments while minimising the use of chemical products.

  • Matev Mow-mm 152 nh-bo mid-mounted mower, for a clean and even cut.

  • Foresteel FT600 leaf collector, with a 600-litre capacity, allowing leaves and green waste to be collected efficiently while reducing unnecessary journeys.

Together, these attachments have transformed the tractor into a versatile and sustainable tool capable of carrying out many of the course’s essential maintenance tasks with a single machine, reducing engine hours, fuel consumption and emissions.

Aeration and soil health: Redexim Verti-Drain 7212

One of the key aspects of maintaining a Pitch & Putt course is keeping the soil healthy and well oxygenated.

The Redexim Verti-Drain 7212 aerator penetrates the soil to a depth of up to 25 cm, improving the infiltration of water and oxygen to the roots.

This improves natural drainage, reduces soil compaction and helps develop stronger turf, with less need for chemical fertilisers or additional irrigation.

The result is a more balanced playing surface with resilient turf that maintains its density and deep green colour throughout the year.

Electric robotic mowers: efficiency and natural fertilisation

Par3 Gualta has also introduced two latest-generation Husqvarna robotic mowers: the 550 EPOS (Robot 2024) and the 550 PRO (Robot 2022). Both operate autonomously and quietly.

These robots can mow throughout the day with high levels of precision thanks to their satellite positioning system, while producing no direct emissions.

The grass clippings remain on the ground and act as a natural organic fertiliser, continuously returning nutrients to the soil. This process, known as mulching, helps keep the course in good condition, reduces weed growth and decreases the need for additional chemical fertilisers.

As they are electric and operate with very little noise, they also help preserve the tranquillity of the course and minimise disturbance to the surrounding wildlife.

Collection, reuse and circular maintenance

The Foresteel FT600 leaf collector is another key element of our environmental strategy. It allows us to collect leaves and green waste quickly and efficiently while also enabling part of this material to be reused as organic compost.

This approach helps close the maintenance cycle: what was once considered waste becomes a valuable resource, reducing transport requirements, emissions and energy consumption.

A clear commitment to sustainability

Renewing the machinery at Par3 Pitch&Putt Gualta is about much more than upgrading our equipment: it is an investment in sustainability and in the future of the course.

Thanks to this new agricultural machinery, we can:

  • Reduce fuel consumption and emissions.

  • Minimise soil compaction and improve natural soil fertility.

  • Use water and plant protection products more efficiently.

  • Encourage the natural recycling of nutrients through continuous grass cutting and mulching.

  • Work more quietly and with greater respect for both the environment and our players.

Looking ahead

The future of Pitch & Putt lies in agricultural innovation and increasingly sustainable course management.

At Par3 Gualta, we believe that taking care of the course also means taking care of the surrounding landscape. That is why we will continue investing in efficient machinery, sustainable practices and continuous training for our maintenance team.

This new stage reinforces Par3 Pitch&Putt Gualta as a model of responsible management, open to everyone and in harmony with nature.
